Stephen Parsons

Stephen is an experienced outdoor instructor. In 2017 he graduated from the University of Wales with a degree in outdoor education and has since developed his skills and knowledge.

In 2022 he decided to take the plunge and set up his own company, delivering expeditions along with other adventures. Stephen is an experienced practitioner of outdoor education, walking is definitely his preferred mode of travel. It's his core belief that every opportunity spent outside walking beside hedge rows, through mountains and forests or along coastlines is an opportunity for learning.

Jack Parsons

Jack started off as a Chef and Sommelier in some of the high-end businesses in Cardiff and South Wales. With some encouragement from family, Jack fell in love with walking in the Welsh countryside.

Now working with Encounter Expeditions in our Booking & Communications department, he is your main point of contact for all your enquiries.

Tobias Parsons

Although I wind everyone up with how long it takes me to smell every blade of grass, I still love being in the open air.
My favourite activities are long walks and muddy puddles!

(If you are not too keen on our four-legged friends, I am quite happy in the office, I am quite fond of a lazy day. Most of our activities suit having four-legged friends by your side)

Elaine

Lead Instructor | Event Manager

Elaine is a highly experienced practitioner and event manager. Elaine has worked with Stephen for nearly ten years! Elaine has led expeditions all over the world including spending several winters working with dogs in the Artic Circle. Elaine is extremely popular with our Clients and Participants.

Rob IML

Lead Instructor | Event Manager

Rob is a highly respected and experienced International Mountain Leader and has led Expeditions all over the world over many numbers of years. Rob is very experienced and has been working with Encounter Adventure since its inception. Rob also sits as the company’s technical advisor for all things expedition related.

Matt

Lead Instructor | Event Manager

Matt has worked with Encounter Adventure since its beginning. Having left the armed forces quite a few years ago, Matt worked his way up in the Outdoor Education Sector and has managed large Outdoor Centers. Matt works as one of our Lead Instructors and is popular with both Staff and Clients.

Simon

Lead Instructor | Event Manager

Simon is a highly experienced practitioner. After a previous successful career in the Navy Simon has worked in the Outdoor Industry for several years and has led expedition all over the world. Simon is highly experienced in expedition logistics and has worked with Encounter Adventure since its inception.
